Well, your worries are over now that Japanese model manufacturer Platz has procured plenty of Star Trek plastic, straight from the original AMT/ERTL molds! That’s right, folks, all the plastic parts of these models are exactly the same as those of the AMT/ERTL releases, but now feature completely new packaging, and, more importantly for Star Trek modelers, brand new and very accurate decals by Cartograf.

All of the AMT/ERTL Enterprise kits have been very hard to come by, not having been re-released for many years. The Enterprise NCC-1701-E from the films, however, has been one of the most difficult of the original releases to find, as it was never re-released after its original production run. This kit of the Sovereign-class Enterprise will measure 19 inches long and 7 inches wide when completed.
